Finnish engineering company Valmet has been commissioned to carry out a comprehensive rebuild of Wuzhou Special Paper's paper machine and to deliver two winders to the factory in Hubei, China. The project aims to convert the machine for the production of recycled corrugated board and liner grades, as well as to increase overall output, according to a press release.
The project, expected to be operational at the beginning of 2027, will result in the machine becoming the widest containerboard machine in China, with a wire width of 11.3 meters, the company reports.
The order is included in Valmet's order intake for the third quarter of 2025, with the interim report released on October 29. However, no order value has been disclosed.
