June 9 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index opened higher on Tuesday, with miners leading gains as easing Middle East tensions lifted sentiment, while investors awaited the Bank of Canada's rate decision on Wednesday.
At 9:30 a.m. ET, the Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX Composite Index was up 0.3% at 34,603.80 points.
