LEIPZIG/HALLE (dpa-AFX) - A cargo aircraft operated by logistics provider DHL completed several loops over Saxony before returning to Leipzig/Halle Airport via Prague. The reason was a technical issue, according to a spokesperson for Mitteldeutsche Flughafen AG.

The cargo plane was en route to Tel Aviv (Israel) when a technical malfunction was detected near Prague. The crew then decided to return to Leipzig/Halle, where the necessary infrastructure to resolve the issue was available. The aircraft landed there on Saturday morning at approximately 6:30 a.m.

The aircraft involved was a wide-body freighter of the Airbus A300F4-600 type, which is regularly used for the company's cargo operations./djj/DP/mis
