Tata Communications Limited has announced the appointment of Ganapathi S. Lakshminarayanan as its Chief Executive Officer for a five-year term beginning May 20, 2026. Lakshminarayanan, also known as Ganesh, was appointed as Managing Director and CEO-Designate on January 21, 2026. He brings more than 30 years of international management experience across multinational corporations, B2B startups and Indian enterprises.

Prior to this appointment, he served as Managing Director and Group Vice President for ServiceNow in India and SAARC, where he was responsible for driving market growth. Before joining ServiceNow, Lakshminarayanan was CEO of Airtel Business in India and earlier led Airtel's Enterprise Business unit. Lakshminarayanan has been elected twice to the NASSCOM executive council, served on the FICCI council and is a founding member of Social Venture Partners Bengaluru.

His tenure as Managing Director and CEO will continue until May 19, 2031.
