Yakushima Town's Zero Carbon Island Declaration Collaborative Project"
Yakushima Town in Kumage District, Kagoshima Prefecture (Mayor: Koji Araki; hereinafter "Yakushima Town"), Taiheiyo Cement Corporation (Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo; President and Representative Director: Yoshifumi Taura; hereinafter "Taiheiyo Cement"), and Yakushima Denko Co., Ltd. of the Taiheiyo Cement Group (Yakushima Town in Kumage District, Kagoshima Prefecture; President and Representative Director: Tetsuya Suemura; hereinafter "Yakushima Denko") have concluded the "Comprehensive Collaboration Agreement on the Yakushima Town's Zero Carbon Island Declaration Collaborative Project."
This agreement aims to realize Yakushima Town's "Zero Carbon Island Declaration" by promoting measures that contribute to carbon neutrality and the development of infrastructure for disaster prevention and mitigation, using the know-how and technological capabilities of the public and private sectors. Yakushima Town, Taiheiyo Cement, and Yakushima Denko will continue to work toward realizing carbon neutrality.
