The Stockholm Stock Exchange displayed an uneven trend at lunchtime, with indices attempting several rallies throughout the day but ultimately failing to gain traction.
At 12:52 p.m., the OMXS30 index was up 0.05 percent at 2,784.82. Trading volume on the exchange amounted to approximately SEK 5.1 billion.
Among the major industrial sectors, energy posted the strongest performance with a 1.30 percent rise. Conversely, healthcare lagged behind, falling by 0.99 percent.
Within the OMXS30 index, SCA B gained 2.2 percent, while Boliden climbed 2.1 percent. The weakest performers were Volvo B, down 0.9 percent, and SKF B, which slipped 0.8 percent.
Automaker Volvo Cars dropped 1.9 percent after reporting its global sales figures, which showed a 10 percent decline in November.
Fashion giant H&M rose 1 percent. One of its largest competitors, Inditex—owner of Zara—released its nine-month results this morning, posting slightly higher profits than expected.
Telecom giant Ericsson fell 0.4 percent after announcing a partnership with Lotusflare. As part of the agreement, Ericsson will acquire a stake in Lotusflare.
Truck manufacturers Volvo and Traton retreated by 1 percent and 0.8 percent, respectively. New North American order intake statistics were released this morning, revealing a 47 percent year-on-year decline in orders for November.
Residential developer JM announced new financial targets, aiming for an average return on employed capital exceeding 20 percent over an economic cycle, and to reduce climate-impacting emissions by at least 85 percent by 2030 compared to the reference year 2022. JM shares fell 2.5 percent.
Discount retailer Rusta appointed Cathrine Wigzell as its new CEO. Wigzell most recently served as General Manager for H&M Beauty. Rusta shares rose 0.5 percent.
Technology consultancy Afry declined 1 percent after being awarded a contract worth SEK 38 million.
Investment company Creades saw its net asset value decrease by SEK 1 in November to SEK 83 per share, with the discount standing at 9 percent. At the turn of the year, the net asset value was SEK 75 per share. Creades shares dropped 0.6 percent.
Investment company Öresund's net asset value was SEK 110 per share at the end of November, down from SEK 116 the previous month. The stock rose 0.5 percent.
Online broker Avanza added 8,900 customers in November, reaching a total of 2,232,400. On an annual basis, growth stood at 9 percent. Savings capital fell 1 percent to SEK 1,070 billion, while net inflows dropped to SEK 590 million. Avanza shares tumbled 4.4 percent.
Online broker Nordnet reported net savings among its customers of SEK 5.5 billion in November, a 28.6 percent decline from the previous month's SEK 7.7 billion, and 12.7 percent lower than the same period in 2024. The number of new customers totaled 16,200. Nordnet shares fell 1.8 percent.
