Outgoing Atlas Copco executive Henrik Elmin has rapidly secured two high-profile roles within the Schörling sphere, one of the Stockholm Stock Exchange's primary power centers. While being appointed CEO of the polymer group Hexpol, sources also identify him as a leading candidate to eventually take over the chairmanship of heat pump manufacturer Nibe, EFN reports.
According to individuals within Nibe's ownership circle speaking to EFN, Henrik Elmin is a frontrunner to succeed Hans Linnarson as chairman of the company. The Nibe nomination committee is chaired by Mikael Ekdahl, who also serves as chairman of Melker Schörling.
Earlier this year, Henrik Elmin was elected to the board of HMS Networks, a company controlled by the Douglas family's investment vehicle, Latour. Melker Schörling and Gustaf Douglas built their respective empires through close collaboration.
Control of Nibe is split between the Schörling sisters and a group of current and former executives and board members, led by veteran CEO Gerteric Lindquist.
