Effective April 1, 2026, the following changes in Representative Executive Officers will take place: Katsuyuki TAJIRI will assume the new titles of Group CFO. He currently serves as Senior Vice President in charge of SOMPO P&C , Direct Insurance Business (Officer) and Overseas M&A. Masahiro HAMADA will become Director, Senior Vice President and Executive Officer, Assistant to the Group CFO. He currently serves as Group CFO, Director, Deputy President and Representative Executive Officer.

Mr. Tajiri will retire as Deputy President [CXO] [COO] of Sompo Japan Insurance Inc. on March 31, 2026 (he will continue as a Director of Sompo Japan Insurance Inc. after April 1,2026). He will continue as a Director of Sompo Japan Insurance Inc. and Sompo Himawari Life Insurance Inc. after April 1, 2026. Masahiro Hamada is scheduled to retire as a Senior Vice President and Executive Officer at the conclusion of the Board of Directors meeting held on the same day as the 16th Ordinary General Meeting of Shareholders.

Reason for the Changes: The changes in Representative Executive Officers are aimed at strengthening management structure and advancing transformation. Katsuyuki Tajiri was born on October 8, 1967 and joined The Yasuda Fire & Marine Insurance Co. Ltd. in April 1990.

He served as General Manager, South Asia Department, Yasuda Fire & Marine Insurance Co. Ltd. and General Manager, Regional COO of South Asia, Sompo Holdings (Asia) Pte. Ltd. in October 2013.

He was General Manager, South Asia Department, Sompo Holdings, Inc. and General Manager, South Asia Department, Sompo Japan Nipponkoa Insurance Inc. in April 2017. He became Senior Vice President, Sompo Holdings, Inc. and Senior Vice President, General Manager, Commercial Business Strategy and Underwriting Department and Global Business Department, Sompo Japan Nipponkoa Insurance Inc. in April 2018. He was Director, Sompo International Holdings Ltd. in January 2019 and Chairman, Sompo Japan Sigorta Anonim Sirketi and Director, Sompo Seguros S.A. in March 2019.

He became Senior Vice President, General Manager, Global Business Department, Sompo Japan Nipponkoa Insurance Inc. in April 2019. He was Senior Vice President and Executive Officer, Sompo Holdings, Inc. in June 2019. He was Executive Director and CEO SI Retail, Sompo International Holdings Ltd. in August 2020.

He became Executive Vice President, Sompo Holdings, Inc. in April 2021. He was Executive Vice President, General Manager, Global Strategy Office, Sompo Holdings, Inc. in October 2022. He was Executive Vice President, General Manager, Office of Group CEO and General Manager, Global Strategy Office, Sompo Holdings, Inc. in August 2023.

He was Senior Managing Executive Officer, Chief Transformation Officer, Sompo Japan Insurance Inc. in December 2023. He became Senior Executive Vice President, Sompo Holdings, Inc. in April 2024. He was Senior Vice President in charge of SOMPO P&C, Sompo Holdings, Inc. (current) in April 2025.

He is Director, Chief Transformation Officer, Deputy President and Senior Managing Executive Officer, Sompo Japan Insurance Inc. and Director, Chief Transformation Officer, Chief Operational Officer, Deputy President and Senior Managing Executive Officer, Sompo Japan Insurance Inc. as of October 2025.
