--Japan's SoftBank Group is weighing potential acquisitions to further its artificial-intelligence push, viewing U.S.-based data-center operator Switch as a possible target, Bloomberg reported, citing unnamed sources.
--According to Bloomberg, SoftBank and Switch have discussed a possible deal, and the owners of the data-center group have sought a valuation of about $50 billion, including debt.
--Switch is also gearing up for an initial public offering as soon as early next year, Bloomberg said.
