The Stockholm Stock Exchange concluded the final trading day of the week with a gain, mirroring the performance of leading European bourses.
At the close, the OMXS30 index was up 0.45 percent at 3,138.09. Shares worth approximately SEK 67.3 billion were traded on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
The best performance among the exchange's major industrial sectors was financials, with an increase of 0.7 percent. At the other end of the spectrum, energy trailed the market, falling 4.3 percent.
Among the blue-chip stocks included in the OMXS30 index, Industrivärden C rose 1.9 percent, while Lifco B gained 1.7 percent. The weakest performers were Saab B, down 1.2 percent, and SCA B, which shed 1.1 percent.
Technology firm Sivers Semiconductors opened lower before rallying sharply during the day. The stock eventually closed down 1.8 percent following a report showing a 22 percent decline in revenue, attributed to revenue deferrals in the wake of the US government shutdown last autumn. Sivers simultaneously stated that the company's future business pipeline grew by 77 percent during the quarter. No financial guidance was provided, but the company reiterated its revenue growth expectations for the full year 2026 despite the shift in revenue between quarters.
Maquet Cardiovascular, a subsidiary of medical technology company Getinge, has lost a patent infringement case against Abiomed in the US, after a jury ruled that Abiomed does not infringe on Maquet's patents regarding intravascular heart pump technology. According to Getinge, the verdict will not have any negative financial or operational consequences. The stock rose 0.7 percent.
Mining company Lundin Gold has completed the previously announced transaction where LunR Royalties acquires a life-of-mine silver stream from the Fruta del Norte mine in Ecuador in exchange for 50.5 million newly issued shares in LunR. Lundin Gold shares will trade in Stockholm ex-rights to shares in LunR on June 3. The stock climbed 5.2 percent.
Real estate company Fastator reported a substantial profit for the first quarter, which was, however, entirely explained by a one-off effect from its recapitalization. Excluding the recapitalization, the result was negative. The stock was up 0.2 percent.
Silex plummeted 16.5 percent on the exchange without any apparent news. According to a fund manager interviewed by Dagens Industri, profit-taking is the primary explanation for the decline.
Technology company Anoto fell 6.5 percent following its Q1 report, which showed slightly higher revenue and a lower operating loss in the first quarter compared to the same period last year.
Cooling and HVAC distributor Beijer Ref has acquired the American firm AM Distributors, which has annual sales of approximately SEK 460 million and is reported to have solid profitability. The stock increased 1.1 percent.
Friday also brought news of new capital raises.
Morrow Bank is conducting a fully guaranteed rights issue expected to raise SEK 592 million before transaction costs. The second company is the research firm Cantargia, which seeks to raise SEK 124 million before costs. Morrow Bank rose 8.8 percent, while Cantargia plunged 25.3 percent.
On the analyst front, SEB downgraded Elekta to 'hold' (from 'buy') and lowered its price target to SEK 58 from SEK 68. The stock rose 0.7 percent.
Affärsvärlden issued a 'buy' recommendation for Axfood, which edged up 0.1 percent.
