Siemens received an order worth around $2.5 billion for double-deck trains from Swiss rail operator SBB.
The German industrial conglomerate said Thursday that the order includes 116 six-car trains with an option for up to 84 additional trains, which will be used on the Zurich S-Bahn network starting in 2031.
The order is worth 2 billion Swiss francs ($2.53 billion), it said.
