Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited has approved the appointment of Shri Vinod Sesha, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas as Government Nominee Director of the Company effective from March 9, 2026 for a period of three years on co-terminus basis or until further orders, whichever is earlier, in terms of letter no. CA-31022/1/2021-CA-PNG (37493) dated March 9, 2026 issued by Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Government of India. Shri Vinod Seshan, Joint Secretary, MoP&NG is an officer from the 2008 batch of the Indian Administrative Service, Assam Cadre.
He possesses over 20 years of rich work experience (17+ years in Policy making, implementation, Development and Infrastructure Project Management, District Administration and Crisis response in roles as Administrator, Team Leader and Project Director). He has served on the Boards of many government companies, the last two assignments being with OIL India and HPCL. Prior to being appointed to the Indian Administrative Service, Mr. Seshan had been working in the software services sector in India with roles ranging from Software development, testing and Knowledge management.
He possesses a Bachelor?s degree in Engineering (Electronics & Communication) from Visveswariah University in Karnataka, India. He also has Master?s degree in Public Policy as well as Infrastructure, Investments and Finance from the University College London. At work and in pursuit of knowledge, Mr. Seshan has always felt his interests in large Infrastructure projects, their financing means and their sustainability.
