Telecommunications company Nokia will assist Dutch telecom operator KPN in transforming the country's core digital infrastructure.

According to a press release, Nokia intends to achieve this by installing an IP and optical network with 800G capacity.

"This nationwide initiative, known as FabriQ, forms the 'digital aorta' for all fixed and mobile services that KPN delivers to millions of consumers, businesses, and wholesale customers across a range of industries. It enables higher speeds, greater resilience, and supports KPN's focus on reducing energy consumption," Nokia stated.
