Finnish cartonboard producer Metsä Board has signed an agreement to acquire the Winschoten Sheeting and Distribution Hub in the Netherlands, according to a press release.

The seller is Konvertia Group, and the transaction is expected to be completed in February. No financial details have been disclosed.

The acquired facility is one of the largest of its kind in Europe, with an annual capacity of approximately 100,000 tons and 22 employees. The takeover is said to strengthen Metsä Board's capacity and flexibility in the European market.
