Marico Limited has appointed Vikram Karwal as Chief Marketing Officer, marking a significant leadership transition after spending close to 13 years with Mondelez. Karwal announced the move on LinkedIn, calling time on what he described as a long and memorable journey that began in 2004. From his early days in sales to leading some of India's most iconic chocolate brands, his career at Mondelez has been closely intertwined with the growth of Cadbury in India and across Southeast Asia.

Most recently, Karwal served as Senior Director - Marketing for Mondelez India's chocolate tablets business, where he led the P&L and marketing strategy for brands including Cadbury Dairy Milk, Dairy Milk Silk, and Bournville. Prior to this, he held multiple regional leadership roles across ASEAN and Southeast Asia, overseeing strategy, equity, innovation, and e-commerce for chocolates and biscuits, and managing brands such as Cadbury Dairy Milk and Toblerone. His international experience includes stints in Kuala Lumpur and Zurich.

At Kraft Foods International, he worked on global chocolate category innovation, focusing on emerging markets like India, Brazil, Russia, and South Africa. Earlier in his career, Karwal held brand management and category roles at Cadbury India and began his professional journey in sales with ConAgra Foods. Karwal's appointment comes as Marico continues to strengthen its leadership bench, with his deep experience across FMCG marketing, innovation, and P&L management expected to play a key role in the company's next phase of growth.
