Manappuram Finance Limited has appointed Mr. Ashish N Chandak as the Group ? Chief Compliance Officer and a Senior Management Personnel of the Company, effective December 3, 2025. Ashish is a seasoned banker with nearly three decades of extensive experience across the BFSI sector, spanning Business Development, Credit Risk Management, Advisory, Governance, Compliance, AML, and Fraud Risk Management.
He brings a strong blend of strategic leadership and hands-on operational expertise, having held significant leadership roles across multiple institutions. He previously served as the Chief Compliance Officer at YES Bank during its post-reconstruction phase, where he played a pivotal role in strengthening the Bank?s Compliance and Governance framework. Throughout his career, he has evaluated and structured over 200+ transactions across Infrastructure, Real Estate, and Manufacturing sectors, facilitating financing exceeding ?100 billion.
His expertise includes financial feasibility modelling, evaluating complex project financing proposals, structuring financing solutions, steering approvals through Board and Executive Committees, monitoring large projects, and ensuring timely and amicable recovery of dues. Ashish has also been instrumental in establishing an internal Management Consulting unit within YES Bank to enhance Management and Governance practices. He has led Staff Accountability Assessments for NPA accounts?identifying process gaps, lapses, and frauds?and has chaired or participated in key Executive Committees, including the Product & Process Approval Committee, Accountability Review Committee, Fraud Identification Committee, and Disciplinary Committee.
In his most recent assignment, he headed the Fraud Risk Management function at YES Bank, leading a team of nearly 200 on-role professionals and managing fraud prevention and detection across both Asset and Liability businesses. His work contributed significantly to safeguarding the Institution against external frauds while protecting customers from emerging threats. He is a Gold Medalist in both Engineering (Graduation) and Management (post-graduation) from the M.S. University of Baroda.
