Lockheed Martin was awarded a $2.2 billion contract to provide services and sustainment activities for the F-35 Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter Air Systems.
The contract will cover F-35 systems for the Air Force Marine Corps, Navy and also for foreign military sales customers, the Pentagon said Friday. Lockheed Martin will provide site activation, interim contractor support, and fleet management services, among other responsibilities. The deal covers supporting the establishment of new operational sites.
Work will be performed in Fort Worth, Texas and Orlando, Fla., and is expected to be completed in December 2028, the Pentagon said.
