KGHM Polska Miedz SA appointed Remigiusz Paszkiewicz as the new CEO on February 24, 2026, after he served as acting CEO following the dismissal of Andrzej Szydlo, who led the company for roughly eight months. Remigiusz Paszkiewicz is an experienced manager specialising in the transformation of large industrial organizations and securing financing from international institutions. On January 30, 2026, the supervisory council had elected Paszkiewicz to perform the duties of CEO for up to three months following the dismissal of his predecessor, Andrzej Szydlo.
The supervisory board of the company adopted a resolution on appointing Remigiusz Paszkiewicz to the 12th term management board of KGHM Polska Miedz S.A. granting him the function of president of the management board of KGHM Polska Miedz S.A. Paszkiewicz intends to implement modern management tools while leaning on the company's historical strengths. Mining and metallurgical traditions are the foundation of KGHM. He intends to focus on strengthening corporate governance within the Capital Group and improving the efficiency of operations, both in Poland and abroad.
