Japan Exchange Group, Inc. announced that Yokoyama Ryusuke has been appointed as the newly Representative Executive Officer, Group COO, succeeding Iwanaga Moriyuki, who will retire as Director effective March 31 of this year. Yokoyama, born on May 6, 1963, joined Tokyo Stock Exchange in April 1986 and has held numerous senior leadership roles across the Japan Exchange Group. His career includes serving as Director of the IT Business Department at Tokyo Stock Exchange, Executive Officer and later Senior Executive Officer at Tokyo Stock Exchange, Japan Exchange Group, and Osaka Exchange.
He was appointed Director of Tokyo Stock Exchange in April 2019 and became Executive Vice President & CIO of Japan Exchange Group in April 2022, while also holding executive roles at Tokyo Stock Exchange, Osaka Exchange, and JPX Market Innovation & Research. Since April 2023, he has served as Executive Officer of Japan Exchange Group, as well as President & CEO of Osaka Exchange and Representative Director & Chair of Tokyo Commodity Exchange. He was appointed Director of Japan Exchange Group in June 2023.

He has held various senior roles including Director of the General Administration Department at Tokyo Stock Exchange Group, Inc. in June 2011, Director of the Human Resources Department in June 2012, and Director of the Human Resources Department (Human Resources Planning) at Japan Exchange Group, Inc. in January 2013. In June 2015, he became Director of the Equities Department at Tokyo Stock Exchange, Inc., and in April 2016 was appointed Executive Officer & Director of the Listing Department. He was named Executive Officer in April 2017, Senior Executive Officer in April 2022, and since April 2023 has served as Director, Senior Executive Officer of Tokyo Stock Exchange, Inc., his current position.
