Italgas has approved investments totaling EUR1 billion in its new 2025-2031 strategic plan, aimed at developing and digitizing the gas distribution network in Greece.
The implementation of the plan has been entrusted to Enaon, the company responsible for gas distribution in the Hellenic country, according to a statement.
By 2031, the project envisions the construction of more than 2,500 kilometers of new networks, of which over 2,200 kilometers will be low-pressure lines—38% of which will be co-financed—with the remainder being medium-pressure lines, primarily intended to supply gas to industrial clients.
"With Enaon, we are also creating in Greece a fully digital infrastructure, which is monitored and managed in real time through the new Command and Control Center in Athens," emphasized Italgas CEO Paolo Gallo.
