Torrent Power Limited is an India-based integrated power utility company. The Company has a presence in power generation, transmission, distribution and manufacturing and supply of power cables. The Company operates through three segments: Generation, Transmission and Distribution, and Renewables. The Generation segment comprises of generation of power from thermal sources (gas and coal) and trading of regassified liquified natural gas. The Transmission and Distribution segment comprises of transmission and distribution business (licensed and franchisee) and related ancillary services. This segment also comprises the power cable business. The Renewables segment comprises of generation of power from renewable energy sources, such as wind and solar. The Company has an aggregate installed generation capacity of approximately 4,328-Megawatt peak (MWp) comprising of 2,730 megawatts (MW) of gas-based capacity, 1,236 MWp of renewable capacity and 362 MW of coal-based capacity.
