France sold 10 billion euros ($11.64 billion) in a new, May 2046-dated government bond, or OAT, via a bank syndicate on Wednesday, one of the lead manager banks said.
Books for the new 20-year bond closed in excess of 106 billion euros, including 4 billion euros of joint lead manager interest, the same bank said.
The spread on the bond was set at 5 basis points above the yield of the May 2045 OAT. The new bond has a 4.10% coupon, and it was priced at 98.725, at a yield of 4.193%, the same bank said.
Bookrunners of the deal were BNP Paribas, Citi, HSBC, J.P. Morgan and Societe Generale.
