British lender NatWest forecast continued income growth and higher profitability this year and beyond, as the U.K. lender bets on its expanding in wealth management to attract new customers and diversify earnings to offset falling interest rates.

Shares of cryptocurrency exchange operator Coinbase Technology surged as a rebound in bitcoin offset weakness in its fourth-quarter earnings.

Shares of Coinbase remain roughly 30% lower for the year to date, reflecting similar losses in cryptocurrency prices.
