EQT has completed the sale of approximately 30.7m B-shares in refrigeration wholesaler Beijer Ref, representing about 6.0 percent of the share capital, according to a press release.
The shares were sold to institutional investors through an accelerated bookbuilding process at a price of SEK132 per share. This represents a discount of approximately 3.3 percent compared to Beijer Ref's closing price on Monday. The total value of the transaction amounted to SEK4.1bn.
The sale represents EQT's entire remaining holding in Beijer Ref following previously announced transactions with Melker Schörling. Following the deal, EQT no longer holds any shares in the company.
Melker Schörling participated in the placement, though the specific number of shares purchased was not disclosed.
Beijer Ref AB (publ) is Sweden - based company primarily engaged in refrigeration technology and HVAC solutions, manufacture components, products and systems for air conditioning, heat pumps and refrigeration, as well as providing advise in temperature control. Beijer Ref AB scope of activity includes offering products in commercial and industrial refrigeration, heating, and air conditioning. The Company’s products primarily consist of refrigeration and air conditioning units, heat pumps, components and spare parts, which can be found in many types of buildings. The aftermarket accounts for part of Beijer Ref’s sales. Offering products comes from suppliers such as Toshiba, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Gree.
