Cyprus issued 1 billion euros ($1.17 billion) in a new 10-year, January 2036-dated government bond via a bank syndicate on Wednesday, one of the lead manager banks said.
Books for the transaction closed in excess of 16.5 billion euros, according to preliminary data, excluding joint lead manager interest, the same bank said.
The spread on the bond was set at 44 basis points above mid-swaps, the same bank said.
Barclays, J.P. Morgan, Morgan Stanley and Societe Generale were the joint lead managers of the transaction.
