Crown continues to advance its global sustainability roadmap toward achieving 100% renewable electricity across global operations by 2040, as defined in the Twentyby30™ global program. In alignment with this framework, the beverage can manufacturing plant in Seville, Spain has completed the installation of a new photovoltaic solar energy system.

CROWN PACKAGING MANUFACTURING SPAIN S.L.U. has received financial support from the European Union under the NextGenerationEU Fund, within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, for the installation of photovoltaic solar panels at its can manufacturing plant located in Seville (Spain), under the incentive program for self-consumption linked to renewable energy sources, managed by the "Junta de Andalucia" through the Andalusian Energy Agency, with the participation of IDAE. The initiative awarded 201,125.16 € in public funding to support the installation.
Now fully operational, the system is expected to generate approximately 4,004,198 kWh of renewable electricity per year, representing around 12% of the plant's annual electricity consumption. The installation contributes to a practical, site-level approach to decarbonisation, complementing the company's broader strategy to expand renewable energy sourcing across its global footprint.

En línea con este marco, la planta de fabricación de latas de bebidas ubicada en Sevilla, España, ha completado la instalación de un nuevo sistema de energía solar fotovoltaica.
CROWN PACKAGING MANUFACTURING SPAIN S.L.U. , ha recibido una ayuda de la Unión Europea con cargo al Fondo NextGenerationEU, en el marco del Plan de Recuperación, Transformación y Resiliencia, para la instalación de paneles solares fotovoltaicos en su planta de producción de latas ubicada en Sevilla (España), dentro del programa de incentivos ligados al autoconsumo con fuentes de energía renovable, gestionado por la Junta de Andalucía, a través de la Agencia Andaluza de la Energía, y con la participación del IDAE. La iniciativa concedió 201.125,16 € de financiación pública para apoyar la instalación.
Ya en pleno funcionamiento, el sistema se espera que genere aproximadamente 4.004.198 kWh de electricidad renovable al año, lo que representa alrededor del 12% del consumo eléctrico anual de la planta. La instalación contribuye a un enfoque práctico a nivel de sitio para la descarbonización y complementa la estrategia más amplia de la compañía para ampliar el uso de energías renovables en toda su huella global.
