Feb 17 (Reuters) - The Republic of Congo said on Tuesday that it would buy back about $354.3 million in principal amount of its 9.875% amortising notes due in 2032, according to a notice on the London Stock Exchange.

It gave the purchase price as $947.50 per $1,000 of the principal amount for an aggregate tender consideration of $346.0 million.

The Central African country announced a tender offer for the notes last week, along with its intention to issue a new series of dollar-denominated notes.
