Communications-services companies rose amid deal expectations.

Paramount Chief Executive Officer David Ellison reportedly spoke with a number of Warner Bros Discovery investors in meetings in New York on Tuesday, seeking support for Paramount's bid over rival Netflix's.

Warner Bros shares added to recent gains, as investors anticipated a prolonged bidding war.

The European Union's second-highest court reduced an antitrust fine by about $162.8 million that EU officials had levied on Intel over what it alleged was abuse of dominance in the market for microprocessors.

Google-owned YouTube TV is introducing a slate of genre-specific channel packages in early 2026, offering consumers more flexibility to pick the content they are willing to pay for.
