Carrefour divests minority stake in Turkey's CarrefourSA to Aydin
Carrefour has announced the signing of an agreement with Aydin, owner of the A101 retail chain, for the sale of the 89% stake jointly held by Carrefour (32%) and Sabanci (57%) in CarrefourSA. This transaction is part of the strategic review initiated by the global retail leader at the beginning of 2025. The deal is not expected to have a significant financial impact on Carrefour.
As of December 31, 2025, CarrefourSA operated a multi-format network of 1,237 stores in Turkey.
In 2025, the company generated net sales of 1.9 billion dollars.
Following the completion of the transaction, the retailer will continue to operate under the CarrefourSA brand for a minimum period of 2 years under a brand licensing agreement.
The closing of the deal remains subject to approval by competition authorities and customary closing conditions.
