Britannia Industries Limited has announced the appointment of Puneet Das as its new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). Also, the company has elevated Siddharth Gupta from General Manager - Marketing to Vice President - Marketing. While Das' appointment will be effective from February 16, Gupta's appointment is effective February 1. Das brings over 24 years of experience across Indian and international FMCG markets, including Africa, Bangladesh, Myanmar, and Sri Lanka.
His career spans senior leadership roles at marquee companies such as Marico Limited, PepsiCo India, GSK Consumer Healthcare India, and Tata Consumer Products Limited. He has worked on iconic global and Indian brands including 7Up, Boost, Horlicks, Tata Tea, and Tetley. Gupta has been with Britannia since 2018 and currently leads marketing for the company's Biscuit, Wafer, and Snack portfolio-a core revenue driver for the firm.
His promotion reflects continuity in leadership and internal talent development at Britannia. With nearly 20 years of experience, Gupta has expertise across brand management, strategy, innovation, communication, customer marketing, and sales. Before joining Britannia, he spent over a decade at Colgate Palmolive, where he began as a Management Trainee in 2006 and later headed marketing for key toothpaste categories, including Freshness, Whitening, and Sensitivity.
