Bayer AG announced that Jana Marlen Ackermann would take over as Head of the Investor Relations department effective August 1, 2026. Ackermann currently served as Finance Head Asia for Bayer's Crop Science Division in Singapore. In her new role, she would report to the Chairman of the Board of Management (CEO), Bill Anderson.
Ackermann succeeded Dr. Jost Reinhard, who had headed the Investor Relations department since October 2023 and would assume responsibility for the Radiology Business of the Pharmaceuticals Division effective August 1, 2026. To ensure a smooth transition, Reinhard would continue to be involved in the communication for the second quarter at the beginning of August. Jana Marlen Ackermann studied business administration and political science and earned her MBA at the Instituto de Empresa in Madrid, Spain, in 2008.
Ackermann's career at Bayer began in 2004 as a trainee and her first permanent station was at Internal Audit. She then held various positions of increasing responsibility in the areas of Strategy and Finance in Europe, Latin America and Asia. She was active at Investor Relations as of 2020 and was appointed Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Bayer in Brazil two years later.
From there, she transferred to Singapore in 2024, where she served as Finance Head Asia at Crop Science.
