Alamos Gold Inc. (TSX:AGI) will look for acquisitions. During the Alamos Gold 2026 Investor Day, John McCluskey, President and CEO, said, "I think if you're going to see us do M&A in the future, again, it's going to be very focused on value creation." "We have allocated a lot of effort into making acquisitions and then investing in those acquisitions through exploration and expansion. It's a priority for us".
"There's a very short list of assets that fit our acquisition criteria. And from that perspective, you don't see us do a lot of M&A. But when the time is right and when the assets are available, we can be pretty aggressive. We did 3 acquisitions inside of 3 years between 2015 and 2018, all of which now are underpinning the growth and valuation of the company".
