Norwegian energy firm Aker BP and its partners have finalized the redetermination process for the Johan Sverdrup field, according to a press release. Following the reallocation, Aker BP's ownership interest increases to 31.7163 percent from the previous 31.5733 percent, based on updated technical and production data.

The adjustment means that Aker BP will receive an additional 2.2 million barrels of oil equivalent over the next two years, while the company is set to pay approximately 300 million Norwegian kroner before tax for reallocated historical investments.

The new ownership stake will be recognized starting from the third quarter.
