Airbus has announced that AerCap Holdings, the world's leading aircraft lessor, has signed a firm order for an additional 100 Airbus A320neo family aircraft, comprising 23 A320neo and 77 A321neo jets.
This transaction reinforces AerCap's strategy of investing in the world's most sought-after fuel-efficient technology to meet the long-term requirements of its global airline customer base.
"This order represents the largest ever placed directly by AerCap with Airbus for this aircraft type," highlighted Benoît de Saint-Exupéry, Executive Vice President Sales of Airbus Commercial Aircraft.
"It will enable us to meet growing demand from our customers for both fleet growth and replacement," stated AerCap CEO Aengus Kelly. "This landmark transaction ensures that AerCap will remain at the forefront of fleet modernization for the remainder of the next decade."

- commercial aircraft (70.1%). The group is No. 1 worldwide for aircrafts with more than 100 seats;
- defense and aerospace systems (18.2%): military aircrafts (primarily transport aircrafts, marine surveillance aircrafts, anti-submarines fighter planes and flight refueling aircrafts), spatial equipment (orbital launchers, observation and communication satellite, turboprop aircraft, etc.), defense and security systems (missile systems, electronic and telecommunications systems, etc.). Airbus SE also provides training and aircrafts maintenance services;
- civil and military helicopters (11.7%).
Net sales are distributed geographically as follows: Europe (40.8%), Asia-Pacific (28.0%), North America (17.7%), Middle East (9.0%), Latin America (2.7%), and Other (1.8%).
