The board of directors of AInnovation Technology Group Co. Ltd. announced that on 28 January 2026, the Company entered into a strategic cooperation agreement with Shanghai Jiao Tong University Hainan Research Institute (Shanghai Jiao Tong University Yazhou Bay Institute of Deepsea Science and Technology) (the SJTU Hainan Research Institute). The establishment of a strategic cooperative relationship between the parties will facilitate the deepening of industry-academics- research integration.
On the principles of "leveraging respective strengths, consolidating resources, forging university - enterprise collaboration and achieving mutual benefits", the cooperation will promote the achievement of industry-ACademics- research integration, facilitate resource sharing, jointly integrate technologies and drive the industrialisation of scientific and technological achievements. Pursuant to the Strategic Cooperation Agreement, the Company and the SJTU Hainan research Institute will jointly advance collaboration in areas including technology and project development, particularly in the research and development of marine technological equipment. Leveraging the SJTU HainAN Research Institute's core scientific research capabilities in deep-sea technology, marine equipment and offshore testing technologies, together with the Company's industrial experience in AI-empowered robotics and its advanced industrial large-model technologies, the parties will carry out in-depth cooperation in areas such as underwater intelligent operation equipment, underwater multi-axis robotic arms, underwater target recognition and tracking, integrated air-sea-subsea unmanned systems, marine environmental perception and structural design optimisation of marine equipment.
Looking ahead, the parties plan to jointly establish a university-enterprise joint laboratory in the field of intelligent marine technology and equipment. In addition, the parties will engage in cooperation in talent cultivation, achievement commercialisation and resource sharing and exchanges, thereby promoting the integration of industry, academia and research, and facilitating the industrialisation of scientific and technology achievements. In July 2019, in response to the national major strategic decision on the development of the Hainan Free Trade Port, Shanghai Jiao Tong University took the lead in planning and deployment in Hainan Province by establishing the Shanghai Jiao Tong University YazhouBay Institute of Deepsea Science and technology.
In February 2024, to further strengthen its support for the development of the Hain an Free Trade Port, Shanghai Jio Tong University established the Shanghai Jiao Tong University Hainsan Research Institute as the overall management unit for all of Shanghai Jiao Tong University's scientific research and educational resources in Hainan Province. The institute is responsible for coordinating the scientific research and talent cultivation in Hainan of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University Yashou Bay Institute of Deepsea science and Technology and the Shanghai Jiao Tong University Hainan Blockchain Research Institute, and for liaising with the Hainan International Medical Center. It operates jointly with the Shanghai Jiao Tong University Gazhou Bay Institute of Deepsea Science and Technology.
