Dutch multinational grocery-retail company Ahold Delhaize reported a rise in sales and operating profit for the fourth quarter.

The group said it booked 23.5 billion euros ($27.96 billion) of sales for the fourth quarter, compared with 23.28 billion euros for the prior-year period. Company-compiled analyst estimates were around 23.34 billion euros.

The company's net sales benefited from its acquisition of Romanian supermarket chain Profi. On the other hand, sales were after it stopped tobacco sales in Belgium, it said on Wednesday.

Operating profit rose 48% year-over-year for the fourth quarter, to 899 million euros.

The company said it expects an underlying operating margin of 4% in 2026. For the fourth quarter, underlying operating margin was 4.2%.

Ahold Delhaize raised its dividend to 1.24 euros.
