Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL), India’s largest renewable
power producer, has expanded its clean energy portfolio with the
commissioning of 408.1 megawatts of new capacity at Khavda in
Gujarat according to POWERLINE. Local reports add that the
development, undertaken through a network of subsidiary entities,
forms part of the conglomerate’s broader ambition to establish one
of the world’s largest renewable energy hubs in the region.
The latest addition brings AGEL’s total operational renewable
capacity to 16,486.1 MW, underscoring the company’s rapid progress
towards its target of 45 GW by 2030. Khavda, located in the arid
Kutch district, has emerged as the focal point of India’s green
energy expansion, with vast tracts of land being developed for
solar and wind generation.
