Fundamental analysis is the most common method used and typically involves the development of a thorough understanding of fundamental features of a business through analysis and interpretation of company and industry data, such as revenue, expenses, assets, liabilities, management, industry position and other factors, in order to evaluate a security.

CTWM primarily employs fundamental analysis methods in developing long-term investment strategies for its clients. The firm uses asset allocation strategy in managing clients’ assets. Their in-house Investment Committee meets regularly to discuss strategies to mitigate their clients' risk. CTWM may buy and sell positions that are more short-term in nature, depending on the goals of the client and/or the fundamentals of the security, sector or asset class.
