Mr. David J.
Agnew is a Chief Executive Officer at RBC Dominion Securities, Inc., a Chair, Co-President & Director at RBC Private Counsel (USA), Inc. and a Chairman at The Golf Canada Foundation.
Mr. Agnew is responsible for leading the strategic direction for each of RBC's wealth management businesses in Canada: RBC Dominion Securities, RBC PH&N Investment Counsel, RBC Royal Trust, Royal Trust Corporation of Canada, RBC Wealth Management Services and RBC Wealth Management Financial Services Inc. He began his career with RBC in 1985 as an Investment Advisor in Montreal.
He advanced through progressive management appointments in RBC Dominion Securities before being named its National Director in 2003 and Chief Executive Officer in 2008.
Mr. Agnew assumed expanded responsibilities in 2010 as Chief Executive Officer of RBC Wealth Management Canada.
He is an active member of the RBC leadership team as Co-Chair of RBC's Canadian Distribution Steering Committee, Chair of the Royal Trust Corporation of Canada, Chair of RBC Private Counsel Inc. and RBC Private Counsel U.S.A., and CEO of RBC Dominion Securities Inc. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Golf Canada Foundation.
Mr. Agnew holds a Baccalaureate degree from Concordia University and is a graduate of the Queen's University Executive Program.
